BIOCOM ::

CEO Corner

Welcome to BIOCOM, the association for the Southern California life science community. I hope you'll take the time to learn more about our organization and the services we offer as you navigate our interactive website. If you're not a member of our community already, I hope our site will give you more insight into the importance of the region's life science technologies in improving health and quality of life today and in the future.

At BIOCOM, we believe in delivering value to our members through each of our core programs. Our foundation was laid almost 20 years ago in advocacy for our industry and it stands as our strength today; since then we've grown to focus our efforts across capital development, workforce and education programs, member-to-member networking and group purchasing of supplies and services. While we are headquartered in San Diego, we now serve the growing Orange County life science community and have staff in Sacramento as well. We collaborate closely with our sister regional organizations in Los Angeles and the Bay Area through the California Life Science Alliance, which was formed to ensure that our efforts are united and strong in representing all of California.

Our association is only as effective as the work of our members who participate in our numerous and diverse activities. Advocacy relies upon the collective voices of individuals to create and change public policy. I'd like you to consider joining me as an advocate for the life science industry - company employees, researchers and patients to name a few - who best exemplify our mission.

If advocacy isn't your strong suit, please take advantage of all that we have to offer in other programs. In my travels on behalf of BIOCOM, I am always asked how other regions around the world can become more like us. Working together, we can ensure that the Southern California life science community will continue to be the best in the world. Please don't hesitate to contact us if there's anything that we might assist you with.
